Deadlines and Cutbacks


When working on a game, you may face unexpected challenges. Sometimes those challenges need to be addressed, otherwise the team won't be able to progress.

Our team faced some challenges that needed to be addressed - such as animating Bopp and the NPCs. As we reached our fourth milestone, our team realized some tasks were impossible to complete on time. Bopp proved difficult to animate for the game, so we had to discuss it. We concluded that for the time being, Bopp won't be animated, and we will focus on more important gameplay matters. Later on, we will return to animating Bopp if we have time.

Our game is making progress, and though it is difficult, we learned that making sacrifices is usually necessary during game development.
